They originate from the renowned Wild Turkey Distillery in Kentucky, which has been known for decades for its authentic Kentucky Straight Bourbon and its consistently artisanal approach to whiskey production.

During the maturation of bourbon whiskey, the American white oak barrels develop a distinctive spectrum of aromas. Characteristic notes include rich vanilla, pronounced caramel sweetness, and toffee, complemented by subtle cinnamon and a clearly noticeable rye spice. These flavors are further enhanced by gentle oak notes that add structure, depth, and a unique character to the barrel profile.

The bourbon maturation process, carried out according to traditional American methods, creates a stable and highly reproducible aromatic profile within the oak. This makes Wild Turkey bourbon barrels particularly well suited for aging projects where robust bourbon notes, spicy accents, and balanced sweetness are the primary focus. The cask influence is expressive, complex, and well-balanced, with a highly recognizable character.

These bourbon oak barrels are ideal for the maturation and finishing of a wide range of spirits, including whisky, rum, and brandy. Barrel-aged beers and ciders also benefit from the characteristic notes of vanilla, caramel, and spice, as well as the smooth oak integration these barrels impart to the aging product. They are equally suitable for traditional maturation programs and innovative barrel-aging projects seeking a distinctive character.

All barrels are carefully selected, inspected, and professionally prepared to ensure consistent quality and optimal conditions for refilling and reuse.

These Wild Turkey bourbon barrels are the ideal choice for producers seeking a classic American bourbon barrel with intense vanilla, pronounced caramel sweetness, delicate cinnamon spice, and characteristic rye notes - authentic, expressive, and sensorially compelling.

FLAVOURS:

DOWNLOAD: Guidelines for Used Barrels

NOTE: The sale of our products is exclusively to businesses or commercial customers as defined in §14 of the German Civil Code (BGB).
