Due to this long seasoning period and their authentic origin, these barrels are extremely rare today and exceptionally difficult to source.

Crafted from premium French oak, they combine traditional cooperage craftsmanship with a deeply embedded aromatic legacy. Over many years of use, the Calvados has penetrated the wood, leaving behind its distinctive fruit-driven character. When reused, the barrels impart elegant notes of ripe apples and pears, complemented by soft vanilla and caramel tones derived from the French oak. Subtle hints of honey, dried fruits and gentle spice add further complexity and depth, creating a refined structure without excessive tannins or bitterness.

With a capacity of 350 liters, these barrels allow for slow, controlled maturation and are particularly well suited for high-end aging projects. They are an excellent choice for distilleries producing whisky, rum, brandy or premium fruit spirits seeking an elegant Calvados influence or a distinctive finishing cask. Especially for limited editions, special releases and premium ranges, these barrels offer a rare opportunity to achieve a harmonious balance of fruit, wood and maturity.

These 15-year-old premium Calvados barrels made from French oak represent authenticity, exclusivity and remarkable sensory depth – a true rarity for connoisseurs and for spirits designed to stand out from

FLAVOURS:

DOWNLOAD: Guidelines for Used Barrels

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Our products are exclusively sold to businesses or traders as defined by § 14 of the German Civil Code.
