Crafted from high-quality Limousin oak, they offer an outstanding flavor profile defined by depth, structure, and elegance.

The barrels were filled with Cognac for a total period of approximately 20 years. Over this extended maturation time, a powerful and complex aromatic spectrum became deeply embedded in the wood. Typical characteristics include intense notes of ripe grapes, dried fruits, delicate spice, vanilla, and pronounced yet well-integrated oak aromas. The coarse-grained structure of Limousin oak ensures long-lasting aroma retention and a well-balanced tannin presence.

Thanks to their large barrel volume, these Cognac barrels allow for slow, controlled aroma transfer and are ideally suited for aging concepts where balance and depth are paramount. They are an excellent choice for the storage and maturation of premium distilled spirits such as whisky, rum, and brandy. Barrel-aged beers also benefit from the mature Cognac influence and the elegant integration of oak.

Each barrel is carefully inspected and professionally prepared before being delivered directly from the origin to our customers. This ensures authentic provenance, consistently high quality, and optimal conditions for successful re-filling.

These 20-year Cognac barrels made from Limousin oak are the ideal choice for producers seeking a powerful, fully matured oak cask with classic origin and exceptional aging potential.

FLAVOURS:

DOWNLOAD: Guidelines for Used Barrels

NOTE: The sale of our products is exclusively to businesses or commercial customers as defined in §14 of the German Civil Code (BGB).
