These freshly emptied large-format casks originate from prestigious Bordeaux châteaux and were previously filled with classic Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot cuvées - wines renowned worldwide for structure, depth, and aging potential.

With a capacity of 400 liters, these Tonneaux offer a significantly lower wood-to-liquid ratio. This allows for slower, more even flavor transfer, making them ideal for long-term aging and structure-driven finishing projects. Producers benefit from outstanding stability, precise control, and an elegant, non-dominant oak influence.

LARGE FORMAT FOR BALANCED OAK INTEGRATION
The 400 L format ensures a refined balance between fruit, tannin, and oak. The wood reflects the maturation of classic Bordeaux wines with notes of blackcurrant, dark cherry, and ripe plum, complemented by cedarwood, subtle spice, and clearly defined tannins.

Thanks to the moderate oak impact, these barrels are perfectly suited for wine, whisky, rum, brandy, and sophisticated craft beer projects where a structured, dry, and precise red wine character is desired.

AUTHENTIC BORDEAUX ORIGIN & PROFESSIONAL PREPARATION
Our 400 L Tonneaux are sourced directly from Bordeaux and carefully inspected and technically prepared in our cooperage.
