Crafted in the heart of the Grande Champagne region in Cognac, these barrels are made from the finest French oak, carefully selected from the historic forests of Bertranges and Centre France. With their generous capacity, they provide winemakers with a gentle, slow maturation process that preserves the character and natural structure of their wines.

The oak used for these Tonneaux undergoes natural air-drying for 24 to 36 months, resulting in an exceptionally fine grain and a well-balanced tannin structure. The larger 600-liter capacity allows for even slower micro-oxidation compared to smaller formats. This leads to a more subtle wood influence that refines the wine without overpowering it. The gentle tannin extraction promotes a harmonious development, allowing fruit, acidity, and oak to integrate seamlessly.

Thanks to their unique properties, the 600-liter Tonneaux are ideal for winemakers who want to achieve an elegant aging process with a refined and multi-layered oak character.
