These fully refurbished 10-hl round barrels combine the distinctive character of mature French oak with state-of-the-art functionality for professional use. Originally used as red wine barrels in Italy, they underwent a comprehensive, expert renovation after approximately 10 years of service - bringing them back to a condition comparable to new barrels, both technically and visually.
As part of the refurbishment process, the barrels were completely re-toasted on the inside, removing all residues and creating a clean, uniform wood surface. This ensures optimal hygienic conditions for storage, maturation, or fermentation processes. The exterior surfaces were fully sanded, restoring not only full functionality but also a high-quality, well-maintained appearance.
With a stave thickness of 52 mm, these barrels offer excellent stability and outstanding climatic properties. The round construction ensures even stress distribution across the wood and supports harmonious maturation of the contents.
