WHAT IS GAT?
GAT is a completely natural, patented process in which high-quality oak barrels are toasted with selected, aromatic botanicals. Through precise heat application, essential oils and aromas are deeply infused into the wood. The result: entirely new aroma profiles and an expanded range of maturation possibilities for fine spirits.

THREE YEARS OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
Over a period of three years, the interaction of wood, heat, and plant-based aromas was intensively studied. The outcome: a process with virtually limitless potential that redefines the world of barrel aging.

GAT is not only patented but also ISO 22000-certified for the highest food safety standards. International pilot projects – especially in whisky and rum production – have already yielded impressive results, highlighting the enormous potential.

The maturation process can be precisely controlled and significantly accelerated: within just 4 to 6 months, harmonious aromas develop in the distillate. GAT barrels are perfect for finishing whisky, rum, tequila, brandy, and many other premium spirits.
