TRANSPORT & DELIVERY
We deliver our barrels and other products directly to the delivery address specified by you. Collection is generally not available.
TRANSPORT COSTS
Transport costs are calculated based on the destination country, the complete delivery address, and the quantity, dimensions and actual transport volume of the barrels ordered.
Due to their dimensions, barrels require a comparatively large amount of cargo space. Transport costs are therefore determined in particular by the actual volumetric weight, the required packaging and number of pallets, and the selected mode of transport.
The calculated transport costs include:
- the freight charges;
- road tolls;
- diesel and fuel surcharges;
- the required packaging;
- the required pallets;
- handling and processing charges;
- transport insurance; and
- for deliveries to countries outside the European Union, the required export declaration.
For deliveries within the European Union and to Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, transport costs are calculated automatically during checkout and displayed before the order is submitted.
DELIVERIES TO OTHER NON-EU COUNTRIES
For deliveries to other countries outside the European Union, transport costs cannot be calculated automatically during checkout due to the different transport routes, import regulations and local delivery conditions.
In these cases, the order submitted through the online shop will initially be treated as a non-binding enquiry. Upon receipt of the enquiry, we will determine a suitable transport option and provide you with the complete transport costs and applicable delivery terms.
A contract shall only be concluded once you have agreed to the stated transport costs and delivery terms and subsequently received a corresponding order acceptance or invoice from us.
TRANSPORT AND DELIVERY TERMS
Our deliveries are generally made under DAP [named place of destination], Incoterms® 2020.
Under these terms, we place the goods at your disposal at the agreed place of destination on the arriving means of transport, ready for unloading. The Customer is responsible for unloading, import clearance and all associated customs duties, taxes, official fees, customs broker fees and other import costs.
In exceptional cases involving ocean freight, delivery may be agreed under CIF [named port of destination], Incoterms® 2020. Delivery under CIF shall only apply if expressly stated in our individual quotation, order acceptance or invoice. Otherwise, delivery shall be made under DAP.
The Customer is responsible for providing all registrations, import licences, powers of attorney, customs information and documents required for import and delivery completely and in good time.
TRANSPORT AND DELIVERY
Depending on the scope and size of the order, transport will be arranged through a parcel service, freight forwarder or specialised international transport provider.
Palletised deliveries and deliveries by freight forwarder generally take place from Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. A specific delivery time or delivery window can only be arranged with prior confirmation.
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that:
- the specified delivery address is complete and correct;
- the delivery address is accessible to the vehicle used;
- a person authorised to accept the delivery is present; and
- suitable and safe unloading facilities are available.
DELIVERY TIMES
The applicable production and delivery time depends on availability, the specifications of the barrels ordered and the delivery location.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, stated production and delivery times shall only begin once payment has been received in full and all technical, commercial and logistical details required for the order have been clarified.
CUSTOMS DUTIES AND IMPORT COSTS
Deliveries to countries outside the European Union may be subject to customs duties, import VAT, excise duties, import clearance fees, customs broker fees or other public charges.
The cost of the export declaration is already included in the transport costs calculated by us. However, import clearance costs incurred in the destination country, as well as customs duties, taxes, customs broker fees and other import charges, are not included and must be borne by the Customer unless otherwise stipulated by the expressly agreed delivery term.
