HANDCRAFTED SMALL BARRELS WITH HONEY SWEETNESS, FRUIT & FRESH ELEGANCE
Our reconditioned Tokaji barrels are exclusive handcrafted originals made from authentic, pre-seasoned Tokaji wine casks from northeastern Hungary. In our cooperages, these barrels are transformed into smaller premium sizes – 27 l, 55 l, and 110 l – ideal for aging whisky, rum, beer, gin, or liqueurs.

Each Tokaji reconditioned barrel preserves the signature balance of sweetness, freshness, and depth that defines the world-famous Tokaji dessert wines. The oak staves are infused with delicate aromas of honey, apricot, peach, and nutmeg blossom, complemented by the subtle spice and vanilla notes of European oak.

REBUILT BY HAND FROM ORIGINAL TOKAJI WINE CASKS
During reconditioning, the original 225 l barrels are carefully dismantled, resized, and reassembled using traditional cooperage craftsmanship. The fine-grained oak staves are preserved, giving the smaller casks their characteristic aromatic richness and dynamic aging potential.

The result: compact, active barrels that impart a harmonious sweetness and vibrant acidity, perfect for finishing projects that highlight fruit-forward complexity, elegance, and clarity.

CRAFTSMANSHIP & SUSTAINABLE QUALITY
In our cooperages, each reconditioned Tokaji barrel is meticulously inspected, sanded, and technically refined. Hoops are renewed or replaced as needed, staves are adjusted, and surfaces are carefully finished. The result is a durable, aromatically active cask that combines artisanal precision with sustainable resource use.

Every Tokaji reconditioned barrel is a unique handcrafted piece – blending Hungary’s rich winemaking heritage with modern cooperage expertise for exceptional maturation results.
