HANDCRAFTED SMALL CASKS WITH NUTTY DEPTH & WARM SWEETNESS
Our reconditioned Tawny Port casks are exclusive handcrafted originals made from authentic, seasoned Port barrels sourced from the historic wine cellars of northern Portugal. In our cooperages, these barrels are transformed into smaller premium formats of 27 l, 55 l, and 110 l - perfect for aging and finishing whisky, rum, beer, gin, or liqueurs.

Each cask preserves the signature aroma profile of mature Tawny Port, characterized by notes of walnut, caramel, dates, raisins, and delicate vanilla. Combined with the subtle spice and structure of French oak, these casks deliver a harmonious, rounded flavor that imparts warmth, depth, and elegance to any spirit or beer.

CRAFTED FROM ORIGINAL PORT CASKS
During the reconstruction process, the original 225 l barrels are carefully dismantled, resized, and rebuilt using traditional cooperage techniques. The original oak staves are fully preserved, ensuring the authentic Tawny Port character remains within the wood.

The smaller cask volume increases the wood-to-liquid contact, allowing for faster, more balanced maturation. The result is an active aroma cask that imparts refined sweetness, oxidative depth, and nutty complexity - ideal for finishing projects with mature, premium character.

CRAFTSMANSHIP, QUALITY & SUSTAINABILITY
Every reconditioned cask is meticulously inspected and refined in our cooperages. Staves are sanded, adjusted, and hoops replaced or aligned to guarantee technical precision, durability, and visual excellence.

These casks are not only a tribute to Portuguese winemaking tradition but also a commitment to sustainable craftsmanship - repurposing premium oak without compromise in functionality or flavor.
