Our rebuilt red wine barrels made from French oak combine traditional cooperage craftsmanship with sustainable barrel reuse. In our cooperages, original French oak barriques previously used for premium red wines are carefully reconstructed into compact aging barrels with capacities of 27, 55, and 110 liters.

These small-format oak barrels are ideal for the professional maturation, finishing, and flavor refinement of whisky, rum, gin, beer, and other spirits.

The original wine maturation leaves a refined and complex aromatic imprint in the wood. Typical notes include dark berries, cherry, and plum, accompanied by subtle spice, cedarwood, and elegant tannins characteristic of French oak. This structure gives the rebuilt barrels a precise and balanced flavor profile, which integrates harmoniously into new spirits and beverages during secondary maturation.

FROM BORDEAUX BARRIQUE TO COMPACT AGING CASK
For the rebuilding process, original French oak red wine barrels (barriques) are carefully dismantled. The staves are precisely shortened, reworked, and reassembled using traditional cooperage techniques to create smaller maturation barrels.

The reduced barrel volume increases the ratio of wood surface to liquid, creating a more active maturation environment. This results in faster and more expressive flavor interaction, making these small casks particularly suitable for finishing projects, experimental batches, and specialized aging programs.

TRADITIONAL COOPERAGE & PREMIUM QUALITY
Each rebuilt barrel is carefully prepared by our experienced coopers. The staves are inspected and refined if necessary, the exterior surfaces are finely sanded, and the hoops are adjusted, replaced, or renewed.

We pay special attention to tightness, wood structure, and sensory performance, ensuring every barrel meets the requirements of professional maturation processes.

The result is a technically flawless and aromatically active oak barrel that preserves the character of the original red wine cask while offering optimal conditions for a new filling.

Rebuilt French oak red wine barrels provide an elegant alternative to standard small-format aging casks. The sizes 27, 55, and 110 liters allow precise aroma control and are ideal for producers seeking to integrate refined red wine notes and premium French oak character into their maturation projects.

French oak in compact format – rebuilt barrels with elegant tannin structure for distilleries, breweries, and creative aging projects.
