NOBLY SWEET ELEGANCE & FRUITY FINESSE
Our Sauternes barrels come from prestigious wineries in the Bordeaux region – home to the world-famous sweet Sauternes wine, one of the most luxurious dessert wines in existence. These pre-seasoned French oak casks carry the essence of the golden-hued wine: intensely fruity, floral, and honeyed aromas with a hint of exotic freshness.

During maturation, the oak absorbs the signature notes of Sauternes – mango, pineapple, almond, vanilla, honey, and peach. This complex sweetness, combined with the refined structure of French oak, imparts spirits and beers with a harmonious, wine-rich depth and a velvety mouthfeel.

AROMATIC RICHNESS WITH FRENCH CHARM
Thanks to the natural Botrytis cinerea (noble rot) that defines Sauternes wines, these barrels develop unique sugar and fruit compounds that transfer beautifully during finishing or aging. The result is a full-bodied, sweet-fruity, and silky flavor profile – adding exceptional complexity to whisky, rum, beer, gin, and liqueurs.

A Sauternes barrel balances both lightness and depth – ideal for distilleries and breweries seeking to give their products a refined, fruit-forward, and luxurious touch.

CRAFTSMANSHIP, QUALITY & LIMITED AVAILABILITY
Our barrels are sourced directly from select Châteaux within the Sauternes appellation and carefully inspected in our cooperages. The fine-grained French oak ensures optimal flavor transfer and controlled maturation.

Due to the limited production of Sauternes wine, these barrels are available only in small quantities – a truly exclusive choice for exceptional aging and finishing projects.
