Our reconstructed barrels made from original Auchentoshan Distillery single malt whisky casks bring the characteristic lightness of the Scottish Lowlands into a highly efficient small format. Carefully selected, previously used barrels are transformed through traditional cooperage craftsmanship into premium aging casks with capacities of 27, 55, and 110 liters.

These sizes allow for highly precise control of maturation and are ideal for projects with clearly defined flavor profiles.

FRESH CITRUS NOTES & SUBTLE SWEETNESS
The original maturation with Auchentoshan Distillery single malt gives the oak a bright, fresh, and elegant aroma profile. At the forefront are vibrant citrus notes such as lemon and grapefruit, delivering crisp freshness.

This is complemented by soft vanilla, gentle sweetness, and subtle hints of coconut and toffee. The American oak provides balance and structure without overshadowing the delicate lightness.

SMALL FORMAT FOR MAXIMUM CONTROL
For reconstruction, original whisky barrels are professionally dismantled, the staves shortened, and reassembled into smaller casks. The reduced volume increases the wood-to-liquid contact surface.

This enables faster and more intense flavor development while allowing precise control over the maturation process – ideal for sophisticated and refined applications.

CRAFTSMANSHIP & RELIABLE QUALITY
Each reconstructed barrel is carefully refurbished by experienced coopers. The wood structure is inspected, the barrel bodies rebuilt, and the hoops adjusted or renewed.

Particular attention is given to tightness, stability, and sensory performance to ensure consistently high quality and optimal results.
