These freshly emptied Port wine casks come directly from the historic Douro Valley in Portugal – a region world-renowned for its exceptional Port wines. We source the barrels straight from one of the most distinguished producers and carefully select them for our customers.

The casks have been seasoned with white, medium-sweet Port wine and still carry the unmistakable character of this fine wine. The Port leaves behind delicate aromatic traces in the staves, marked by a fresh, fruity, and subtly floral profile. Gentle notes of honey, ripe fruit, and a refined sweetness create a unique flavor signature.

Thanks to these qualities, Port wine casks are ideally suited for the maturation of whisky, beer, spirits, or even vinegars. The residual aromas of the white Port can impart elegant nuances during finishing or secondary aging, adding both depth and refinement to the final product.
