FROM ORIGINAL CASK TO EFFICIENT MATURATION TOOL
For reconstruction, original Sazerac bourbon barrels are professionally dismantled. The staves are shortened, refitted, and reassembled using traditional cooperage techniques to create smaller casks.

The reduced volume significantly increases the wood-to-liquid contact ratio, leading to faster and more intense flavor transfer. This makes these barrels especially suitable for controlled and precise maturation processes.

CRAFTSMANSHIP & HIGH QUALITY
Each reconstructed barrel is carefully refurbished by experienced coopers. The staves are inspected and reworked, the barrel bodies rebuilt, and the hoops adjusted or renewed.

Particular attention is given to tightness, wood quality, and sensory performance to ensure consistently high quality and optimal results for refilling.
