Our exclusive Casknolia Moscatel barrels (500L) come from Andalusia – home to some of Spain’s finest sweet wines. These exceptional casks were originally used to age and store premium Moscatel wine and are known for their sweet-spicy aromas, gentle vanilla tones, and subtle toasted character.

Unlike the French versions, these barrels are made from American oak, renowned for its distinctive vanilla, coconut, and roasted notes. This unique wood type, combined with the natural aging of the barrels, produces a warmer, spicier, and more structured flavor profile – giving spirits and beers remarkable depth and complexity.

HAND-SELECTION BY OUR EXCLUSIVE PARTNER CASKNOLIA
In close collaboration with our partner Casknolia, one of Andalusia’s most prestigious cooperages, each Moscatel barrel is carefully selected, inspected, and reconditioned for reuse. Only casks that meet the highest standards of tightness, aroma intensity, and wood integrity are included in our range.

The result is technically and aromatically superior 500-liter barrels, perfectly suited for aging and refining whisky, rum, beer, gin, or liqueurs.

AROMA PROFILE & CHARACTER
The Andalusian Moscatel deeply infuses the oak with notes of honey, candied orange, raisins, and nutmeg blossom, while the American oak contributes vanilla, toffee, and delicate roasted nuances. Together, they create a sweet-spicy, harmoniously rounded flavor profile – ideal for finishing projects with a rich, Mediterranean character.

QUALITY, CRAFTSMANSHIP & SUSTAINABILITY
Each Casknolia barrel is rechecked and, if necessary, restored in our cooperages. Staves, hoops, and seals are thoroughly inspected to ensure maximum quality and durability.
