Our reconstructed barrels made from original Lambay Distillery Irish whiskey casks combine Irish whiskey tradition with the unique influence of the Atlantic climate – now in a compact and highly reactive format. Using traditional cooperage craftsmanship, carefully selected, previously used casks are transformed into premium aging barrels with capacities of 27, 55, and 110 liters.

The original maturation with Lambay Distillery Irish whiskey gives the oak an elegant and multi-layered aroma profile. Leading notes include soft vanilla, honey, and dried fruits, complemented by delicate spice.

Particularly distinctive is the subtle saline freshness, created by the maritime influence during the original maturation. This light mineral note adds depth and clearly distinguishes these casks from standard whiskey barrels.

SMALL FORMAT FOR PRECISE FLAVOR CONTROL
For reconstruction, original Lambay casks are professionally dismantled, the staves shortened, and reassembled into smaller barrels. The reduced volume increases the wood-to-liquid contact surface.

This results in faster and more intense flavor development, allowing highly precise control of the maturation process – especially valuable for modern and sophisticated applications.

CRAFTSMANSHIP & RELIABLE QUALITY
Each reconstructed barrel is carefully refurbished by experienced coopers. The wood structure is inspected, the barrel bodies rebuilt, and the hoops adjusted or renewed.

Particular attention is given to tightness, stability, and sensory performance to ensure consistently high quality and optimal results for refilling.
