Our rebuilt Syrah red wine barrels made from French oak combine the powerful character of Syrah wines with traditional cooperage craftsmanship. In our cooperages, original Syrah barriques are carefully reconstructed into premium small-format barrels with capacities of 27, 55, and 110 liters, ideal for the professional aging, finishing, and flavor enhancement of whisky, rum, gin, beer, and other spirits.

Syrah is one of the most expressive red wine varieties in the world. During the original wine maturation, the barrels absorb a dark, spicy-fruity aroma profile. Typical notes include blackberry, blackcurrant, and plum, complemented by peppery spice, subtle smoky nuances, and the elegant tannin structure of French oak. FROM SYRAH BARRIQUE TO COMPACT AGING CASK
For the rebuilding process, original Syrah barriques are professionally dismantled. Our coopers precisely shorten and refit the staves before reassembling them using traditional barrel-making techniques to create smaller maturation casks.

The reduced barrel volume increases the ratio of wood surface to liquid, allowing the oak’s aromas to interact faster and more intensively with the contents. This makes Syrah rebuilt barrels particularly suitable for finishing projects, small-batch production, and experimental maturation programs.

TRADITIONAL CRAFTSMANSHIP & CAREFUL RECONDITIONING
Each rebuilt barrel is carefully refined by our experienced coopers. The staves are inspected and reworked if necessary, the exterior surfaces are finely sanded, and the hoops are adjusted, replaced, or renewed.

Special attention is given to tightness, structural stability, and the sensory quality of the wood, ensuring long-lasting barrels that are technically flawless and aromatically active. The result is a premium maturation cask that preserves the original Syrah character while being perfectly prepared for a new filling.
