For reconstruction, original Macallan casks are professionally dismantled, the staves shortened, and reassembled into smaller barrels. The reduced volume significantly increases the wood-to-liquid contact surface.

This leads to faster and more intense flavor development, enabling targeted control of the maturation process – ideal for demanding and refined applications.

CRAFTSMANSHIP & QUALITY CONTROL
Each reconstructed barrel is carefully refurbished by experienced coopers. The wood structure is inspected, the barrel bodies rebuilt, and the hoops adjusted or renewed.
