The Balsa tree (Ochroma pyramidale) is indigenous to tropical South America and is cultivated sustainably. Despite its exceptional and exclusive characteristics, the wood is seldom utilized in barrel production. With sweet, floral-woody aromas and moderate tannins, it imparts a balanced, deep, and full-bodied profile to distillates.
