The oaks for our premium barrels made of Spanish oak grow in northern Spain and are structurally similar to French oak. The wood has a strong, rather dry - not very sweet aroma and has moderate tannins.

Toneleria del Sur was founded by Rafael Cabello, an skilled and experienced cooper based in the Montilla Moriles área in southern Spain in 1974. Toneleria del Sur Coopers produce signature casks under the most demanding quality standards. After a rigorous selection of the wood to be used, traceability in our making and high-end finished products, we get our CASKNOLIA casks. As a result of a long term coopers´ tradition and backed-up by a skilled team of traditional coopers, these casks are real artisan products.
