“Classic” Spirit Barrels from Speyside Bourbon Cooperage® – Traditional Quality with Balanced Maturation

Since 1947, Speyside Bourbon Cooperage® has been synonymous with exceptional barrel craftsmanship and innovative cooperage. With the “Classic” Barrels, the company offers a high-quality solution for distilleries that value proven quality and excellent aging potential.

A key feature of these barrels is the wood used: carefully selected American white oak that has been air-dried outdoors for 18 months before processing. This natural drying process reduces undesirable bitter compounds, refines the oak’s aromatic profile, and creates a stable foundation for barrel construction.

The oak is sourced from the most renowned growing regions in the United States – the Northern Highlands, the Appalachians, and the Ozark Mountains – and is hand-selected. A significant portion is locally sourced from the area surrounding the cooperage’s facility in Jackson, Ohio.

The combination of open-air drying and controlled kiln drying in the company’s own systems ensures consistent quality and optimal workability. State-of-the-art CNC technology enables precise stave assembly, resulting in barrels that are dimensionally accurate and virtually leak-free – a benchmark in modern barrel production.

The “Classic” series unites traditional craftsmanship with efficient manufacturing, making it the ideal choice for distilleries seeking reliability, functional quality, and nuanced flavor development.

DIRECT IMPORT FROM THE USA – ATTRACTIVE TERMS THROUGH CONSOLIDATED ORDERS
We consolidate our customers’ orders and import the barrels by the container directly from Speyside Bourbon Cooperage to Europe. This gives small and medium-sized distilleries access to high-quality American white oak barrels at an especially attractive price-performance ratio. As soon as the required total volume is reached, the next container is shipped.
