These Cabernet–Merlot red wine barrels made from French oak come directly from renowned wineries in Bordeaux and represent structure, depth, and classic red wine influence. The casks are sourced freshly emptied on a continuous basis to preserve the aromatic freshness of the previous filling and to ensure optimal conditions for successful re-use.

Cuvées made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are among the most defining wine styles of the Bordeaux region. Accordingly, the aromatic profile embedded in the barrel wood is highly complex. Typical characteristics include dark berry fruits such as blackcurrant and blackberry, complemented by plum, fine herbal notes, subtle spice, and a well-integrated tannin structure. French oak enhances this profile with elegant wood notes, adding balance, depth, and refinement to the cask.

After being emptied, the barrels are carefully inspected in our cooperages and professionally prepared for shipment. Particular attention is paid to tightness, wood quality, and sensory performance to ensure consistently high quality.
