During wine maturation, the oak absorbs complex aromas of dark berries such as blackcurrant and blackberry, plum, fine herbal and spice notes, and a pronounced yet well-integrated tannin structure. Compared to smaller barriques, the 300-liter tonneau allows for a calmer, more balanced aroma transfer.
